The PFLC mission is to advocate for the rights of all the residents of Elisabeth Ludeman Center, to work with the Center towards quality of life enhancement, and to act as an all-volunteer support organization for the family members and friends of the residents.

In case you haven’t seen this article in the January 23, 2018 Chicago Tribune, click on the link below. It was written by Michael J Berens, the same Pulitzer Prize winning investigative reporter who wrote the excellent 2016 Tribune series, Suffering in Secret.  That series of articles investigated problems in Illinois’s community group homes for the developmentally disabled (CILAs). In this piece he reports that more than a year later, sadly, often dangerously, these settings continue to lack the appropriate oversight that regularly occurs at Ludeman Center and the other SODC’s.
