PFLC Notification: Ludeman Center Covid-19 Update & Ludeman Director Conference Call Invite

 

 

Hello Parents & Friends of Ludeman Center,

PFLC encourages you to contact the Ludeman Center to get an update on the COVID-19 visitor status and information before making a visit to the Center.

Over the past week there has been a significant upsurge in Ludeman’s COVID numbers.  Currently, 52 residents are testing positive for COVID, as well as 17 staff members.  Houses 6, 8, 10, 15 16, 17, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 31, 33, 34, 35, 38, 39, 43, 44, 45, 46, 48, 49, 51, 52 and 56 are being supported in isolation.  27 houses in all.  The best news is that symptoms have been generally mild.  No one has been hospitalized for COVID.

 As a response to this surge and to try to bring it under control, Community Day Services (Cornerstone) are suspended until at least February 21, 2023. 

Annual in-person review meetings for your loved one are suspended until at least February 21st.  Annual telephone review meetings will still be conducted.

Contact your assigned Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) for your loved one’s annual review meeting scheduling and updates.

The Elisabeth Ludeman Developmental Center (ELDC) Monthly Parent – Guardian Teleconference Call with ELDC Director Tim Montgomery is scheduled for WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2023 AT 1:30 P.M. UNTIL 2:30 P.M. CST.  All Parents and Guardians are welcome to join the conference call at 312-353-8110, pass code 133 279 8487##
