PFLC April 7, 2020 Ludeman COVID-19 Status Update

Hello PFLC Parents and Friends,
The current information we have regarding the Ludeman Center Update Status for COVID-19:
Ludeman is currently conducting COVID-19 testing and supportive processes.
* 12 residents have tested positive via the COVID-19 testing process. The individuals are in isolation.
* 13 Ludeman employees who have tested positive via the COVID-19 testing process and are currently off work and coordinating their isolation and care with their medical providers.

* 23 residents have recently been tested and are in isolation from others due to potential COVID-19 symptoms. That they have potential symptoms does not mean that they are COVID-19 positive.  Medical personnel are continually evaluating these individuals.

* 4 Ludeman homes are now in isolation due to exposure or possible exposure to COVID-19.
Remember Ludeman Center staff are calling families directly to inform you if your loved one is diagnosed with COVID-19 or has symptoms of COVID-19.
Ludeman is following the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Illinois Department of Public Heath (IDPH) guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each center has a designated infection control employee, along with medical personnel that provide on-site support to manage COVID-19. We are consulting daily with an infection control group to review COVID-19 and to provide centers with guidance to maximize both resident and staff safety.
The Ludeman Center is in need of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
If you know someone, a business, or an organization that can provide masks, please send them to Lisa Robinson, Facility Director at 114 N. Orchard Drive, Park Forest, IL 60466.Some suggestions are your Doctor, Veterinarian, and Dentist offices, or anyone that works in an environment that might be willing to donate some of their supplies.
Listed below are  website links to make homemade masks.  Some church organizations are taking on this task – maybe yours that would be willing to share?
